Writing Poetry as an art of healing

Poetry is an art form. In many cases, it is forgotten that poetry and creative writing as art forms can help mentally stimulate the brain, calm the mind, and heal internal pain. Think of the concept this way: poetry can help people express certain things in a very creative style using words and rhythm to do so. It allows the use of words in a healing way.

Poetry is defined as literary work in which special intensity is given to the expression of feelings and ideas using distinctive style and rhythm. Since poetry is such a special genre of literature, it isn’t surprising that people write poetry to help express their deepest feelings. In so many cases, writing poetry can be a healing outlet to express feelings when a person is struggling with depression, anxiety, being overwhelmed, or even being outcasted by friends and family.

Experts suggests that writing in a journal is a sure way to privately express feelings that are sometimes hard to verbalize to someone else. Sometimes writing down your worries are healing and relaxing. To take that healing method a step further, consider poetry. Poetry is special because it has its own personality, its own rules, its own form. Therefore, writing poetry comes with not just an element of creativity, but a means to heal the soul.

Creating rhythm is calming, settling to the mind and spirit. Imagine dealing with a painful moment and using poetry as your outlet. Imagine the words and the rhythm changing your feelings, easing your pain. It’s a good idea to keep a journal, and an even better idea to fill that journal with poetry.

A person does not have to be an infamous poet to write poetry and use it as form of healing. All it takes is the act of doing it and allowing it to heal accordingly.

Mark Twain and His Secret to Getting Ahead

Author Mark Twain believed that there was a key to success and during his monumental life, he shared it with the world.

The secret of getting ahead is getting started.

Mark Twain

Mark Twain, born as Samuel Langhorne Clemens, was an American writer, publisher, and lecturer. His famous works includes The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, which later became known as The Great American Tale.

Twain was a true artist of his time, and he didn’t gain his success easily. He was born in Hannibal, Missouri and this is where he came up with the setting of both of his books. Twain had several odd jobs growing up to make ends meet. He worked at a printer, then later as typesetter where he wrote for a newspaper. After that he had a job as a riverboat pilot on the Mississippi River he moved to Nevada. He worked hard and that’s what he stood for. He was a man who gained his success because he believed in a dream that he then made a reality.

In today’s times, so many people are fleeing the corporate America setup to become business owners, entrepreneurs. So many people are realizing that investing in companies doesn’t necessarily guarantee their individual success. Twain believed that success was sought after, not handed to anyone. And if you want it, you must start somewhere – just like he started at a newspaper.

Mark Twain became rather successful and earned a lot of money for his publications and his lectures. However, that isn’t all he left when he left this world. Twain made people of his time and even people of today’s time realize that working hard really does pay off…and you have to start somewhere to get anywhere.

Plato’s philosophy

Plato was an Athenian philosopher during the classical period in Ancient Greece. He is known as one of the pivotal figures of all time. He was famous during the Classical period in Ancient Greece. Plato is, of course, the founder of the Platonist school of thought, and the Academy, which was the first institution of higher learning in the Western World.

Plato’s teacher was Socrates, and his student was Aristotle. Many consider Plato as one of the founders of the Western religion and spirituality. One of his most famous contributions, Platonism, is the doctrine of the Forms known by pure reason to share a realist mindset to the issues around the world.

Plato spoke a special language. His philosophy was one that set the tone for future philosophers. Plato believed that the sensible world is the world of the contingent. This, according to his philosophy, is nothing like the “real” world. Plato believed in the power of things that weren’t tangible.

His belief is the top of Essences is the idea of Good. Plato believed that good surpassed dignity. Good was above power. He believed that the most important principle is matched up with divinity

Although Plato has died over twenty centuries ago, his philosophical paths will forever be amazing to civilization. Plato believed in obtaining power through the intangible, nothingness, and pure being.
