Epiphany, by Teresa Hooley

Epiphany

To-night out in the darkness
The wind is loud and high--
I saw a star go falling
Along the wintry sky.   I think the great wind blew it
Out of its quiet place,
The way it shakes the leaves down
And whirls them into space.   The stars are thick as daisies,
I cannot number them..
A happy wind was blowing
One night round Bethlehem,   And in the Eastern heavens
Shook down a star to rest
Above the place where Jesus
Slept on His mother's breast.
