Democritus fig-loving shouldst thou see,
Bear him this message, traveller, from me:
The luscious fruit, maturely beautiful,
Weighs upon me, and waits for him to cull;
But fence is none; so, if he wish to taste,
'tis fit that thou and he should both make haste.
